The Adventure Crew
The Outdoor Adventure Crew was born almost a decade ago from an idea that adventuring should be done, and it should be done together. The Adventure Crew's founder, Michael Nixon, brings together groups of adventurers to take part in a journey with people they don't know in a culture of love and acceptance.
The Adventure Crew is a non-profit organization that plans weekend adventures in and around Utah for young adults wanting to meet new people and enjoy the outdoors. We plan the logistics side of the trips, including food, camping and transportation, so you can simply just show up and have a good time. The Crew is not a tour group, rather a group of friends exploring nature together and all involved members are responsible for their actions
Starting in 2025, the Outdoor Adventure Crew has expanded to include the Travel Adventure Crew, Fitness Adventure Crew, and Arts Adventure Crew. This expansion allows us to share the same sense of community, excitement, and exploration with a broader audience, whether they thrive in the great outdoors or prefer other enriching experiences. Our mission remains the same: to inspire connection, adventure, and personal growth, no matter the setting.
How do I sign up for a trip?
There are a couple different ways. We post about trips on Instagram, so check our Upcoming Events highlight bubble and you can sign up to be a part of our text/email list. Or just hit us up and ask when the next trip is!
How do I get to the trip?
Depends on where you are! The typical meetup spot is the Provo Frontrunner Station, but whether you're in northern Utah, southern Utah, or a different state completely, we'll work with you to make sure you get to the adventure.
What's expected of me on a trip
Apart from having a blast and meeting new people, we ask that trip attendees help set up and break down camp, as well as help with cooking and clean-up. And, as always, Leave No Trace.
I've been on a trip... now what?
Come on another trip! Perks include more adventure, memories, friends, and once you come on your third trip of the year, you get a free Crew t-shirt! Bonus perk: You get to follow our finsta.
We also understand that sometimes schedules and budgets are tight and it might be a while before we see you on another trip, however, we are stoked if you made some new friendships that lasted beyond the trip.
